The lovely long summer days are here again, and as the sun lights up the shrine room we notice that it could do with a bit of TLC! It’s a bit grimy in places and although we know that we are going to start building a lovely new room in the spring, spring is six months away. We want to make the room inviting and beautiful with a lick of new paint and a bit of cleaning.
So, everyone is invited to come and help redecorate the room and the reception area, or potter in the garden getting rid of the weeds, trimming the ivy and helping the pond back to health. Come and be part of the team and have the opportunity to practice with friends.
We will be at the Buddhist Centre on Sunday 10th of August from 10:30 to 4:30. The idea is to start the day with a meditation session at 10:30 and then move into doing whatever we can to help the environment. The more people who are around, the more fun the day will be! If you can’t commit to a full day, an hour or two would be much appreciated.
It would be good to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and / or painty, we have everything else. Bring a veggie lunch to share and who knows, there may even be cake!
